Getting started
How much does a bathroom renovation cost?
Every bathroom is different, so renovation costs can vary depending on the size of the space, scope of works, layout changes and level of finishes selected.
We provide a detailed quotation to your project, including clearly listed allowances for tiles, fittings and fixtures. Get in touch for a free measure and quote.
Do you offer a free measure and quote?
Yes. We offer an initial on site consultation, measure and quotation for suitable renovation projects. During the consultation we can discuss your ideas, scope of works, layout options and selections before preparing a detailed proposal for your project.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend getting in touch at least 6-12 weeks before your preferred start date. Our schedule can book out further during busy periods, so the earlier we can begin planning, quoting and selections, the more flexibility we’ll have around your preferred time frame.
What happens after I accept the quote?
Once the proposal is accepted, we confirm the scope, selections, contract requirements and start date. Once the contract is released and deposits are paid, We then coordinate suppliers, trades, deliveries and renovations schedule so everything is ready before work begins.
Do you offer any payment plans or financing options?
We do not currently offer in-house finance or payment plans.
Payments are structured around agreed project stages and clearly outlined in your contract before works commence.
What areas do you service?
We proudly service the entire Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas, including Pelican Waters, Caloundra, Kings Beach, Buderim, Maroochydore, Maleny, Montville, Coolum, Noosa, Bli Bli and all surrounding suburbs.
The renovation process
What's included in your renovation service?
We manage the entire renovation process from start to finish – including demolition, rubbish removal, waterproofing, tiling, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, showerscreens, paint plaster and final fit-out.
We also coordinate the trades, scheduling and overall project management, so you have one point of contact throughout the whole renovation.
Do you organise all the trades, or do I need to source my own?
We coordinate all trades required for your renovation including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, plasterers, tilers, waterproofers, plasterers, painters, cabinetmakers if required and glazers – so you don’t need to manage multiple contractors yourself.
We can also coordinate fittings, fixtures and tile requirements, including calculating tile quantities, organising supplier orders and helping manage delivery dates so everything is ready when it’s needed on site.
How long does a typical renovation take?
Most full bathroom renovations take 4-6 weeks from demolition to completion, depending on the scope of works, layout changes, custom joinery, shower screens and any unforeseen issues discovered during construction.
Can you change the existing bathroom layout?
Yes. We can reconfigure layouts, move plumbing, relocate showers, baths, vanities and toilets, remove or add walls, install cavity sliders and make structural changes where required.
I'm not sure exactly what I want yet - can you help with design?
Absolutely. We can help with layout ideas, product selections, tile choices, fixtures, finishes and practical design decisions based on your space, budget and how you want the room to function.
We can also work through larger layout changes, including moving showers, baths, vanities, toilets, walls and door ways where practical.
Do you renovate ensuites and laundries as well as main bathrooms?
Yes. We specialise in full bathroom renovations, ensuite renovations, laundry renovations, including layout changes.
Our projects can include reconfiguring existing layouts, extending bathrooms, converting bedrooms or offices into ensuites, creating new walk-in robes and transforming garages or underused areas into complete master bedroom retreats.
Where required, we can also help coordinate council approvals, building approvals and engineering, along with the trades and documentation needed to carry the project through from planning to completion.
Can you renovate in apartments and units?
Yes. We regularly work in apartments and can coordinate access requirements, body corporate conditions and protection of common areas and the additional planning that comes with apartment renovations.
Do you handle small repairs or maintenance, or only full renovations?
Aqua Splash specialises in complete bathroom ensuite and laundry renovations rather than small repair, tiling only, waterproofing only or shower only jobs.
This allows us to take responsibility for the full renovation process and ensure all trades are properly coordinated from demolition through to final fit-off.
Fittings, fixtures & selections
Do you supply the fittings and fixtures, or do I choose and purchase them myself?
We can assist with the supply and selection of tiles, tapware, bathroom fixtures, vanities, shower screens and other finishes through our trusted suppliers.
Every quotation includes a clear allowance table, showing the amount already included in the quoted price for items such as tiles, tapware, fixtures, vanities and other selected products. This gives you a set budget to work within when making your selections and makes it easy to see exactly what has been allowed for,
If you choose products above or below the included allowance, the final price will simply be adjusted accordingly.
Can I supply my own tiles and fittings?
Yes. This can be discussed during the quotation process. We generally prefer to coordinate supply where possible so we can manage product suitability, deliveries, installation requirements and warranties.
During the renovation
Can I stay living in my house during the renovation?
In most cases, yes. The bathroom being renovated will be unavailable during construction, but the remainder of the home can continue to be occupied.
If we are renovating the only bathroom in the property, we recommend discussing temporary bathroom arrangements with us before the project begins.
Will there be a lot of noise, dust, or mess?
Renovations do involve some noise, dust and disruption, particularly during demolition, but we take practical steps to keep this under control.
We protect surrounding areas where required, contain the work zone as much as possible, remove rubbish regularly and keep the site tidy throughout the project. We also aim to leave the work area clean and organised at the end of each day.
What happens if something is found during demolition that wasn't part of the original quote (e.g. water damage, asbestos)?
If unexpected conditions are uncovered during demolition such as water damage, rotten framing, asbestos or previous non-compliant work, we will discuss it with you before carrying out any additional work.
Where additional costs are required, we’ll explain the issue and provide a variation so you understand the work involved before proceeding.
Licensing, warranties & guarantees
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Aqua Splash is fully insured and QBCC licensed, giving you peace of mind that your renovation is being managed professionally and in accordance with Queensland building requirements.
Is waterproofing guaranteed?

What warranty do you offer on the renovation itself?
All works are completed in accordance with applicable Queensland building requirements, manufacture warranties and statutory warranty obligations. Product specific warranties also apply to eligible fixtures, fittings and materials supplies as part of the renovation.
Do you offer a guarantee if I'm not happy with the finished result?
We take pride in the quality of our workmanship and complete a final inspection and handover at the end of each project. If there are any genuine workmanship defects or items requiring attention, we’ll work with you to have these addressed in accordance with your contract, applicable statutory requirements and relevant product warranties.
Do I need council approval or permits for my renovation?
Many standard bathroom renovations can be completed without council approvals however, additional approvals may be required depending on the scope of works, particularly where structural alterations, significant layout changes or other building work is involved.
We’ll assess this as part of the planning process and advise you if any approval, certifications or additional requirements apply to your renovation.
